Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the obverse of 2021 1 oz EC8 Montserrat Coins. The artist Ian Rank-Broadley created this effigy of the Queen in 1998 and it has been used on countless coins in the Commonwealth ever since. In the design, Her Majesty is depicted in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara resting atop her head. Along the rim of the coin the country, weight, purity, and metal type are listed.

A Blue Girdled Angelfish is shown swimming through the water on the reverse side of 2021 1 oz Colorized Silver Montserrat Coins. These colorful creatures can weigh up to 2 pounds and are most commonly found in oceans, reefs, and bays. Along the border of the coin are the words Montserrat 2021.
