Each of the 2021 1 oz Colorized Silver Somalia Elephants offered here come in individual protective capsules. The coins in this listing are Brilliant Uncirculated versions of the Silver Elephant, but have been enhanced with a thin layer of colorized lacquer on the reverse field. This enhancement took place at Emporium-Hamburg after coining at the Bavarian State Mint. These coins are not specially struck at the mint, but rather, come from the standard BU release and have been colorized by Emporium to create unique visual appeal.

Silver Somalia Elephants were available only as 1 oz silver specimens through the first several years of availability. The first weight added to the series was the 1 Kilogram silver coin. In 2016, the Bavarian State Mint began a rapid expansion of the series to include an increase from .999 to .9999 fine silver content and the introduction of new weights. These include 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz fractional silver, as well as 2 oz, 5 oz, and 10 oz silver coins.

On the obverse side of 2021 Colorized Silver Somalia Elephants, you will find the coat of arms of Somalia. The national seal comes with a crowned shield supported by leopards. The shield has a background field of horizontal lines and a single star at the center.

The reverse field of 2021 1 oz Colorized Silver Somalia Elephants comes with a depiction of an African bush elephant on the march. The massive land mammal has marched into the immediate foreground with its tusks pointing right at the viewer and its ears puffed out to the side in a display of dominance and size. This field has the added colorized lacquers that bring real-life colors to the body of the elephant, its tusks, and the rolling savanna behind it.
