KOMSCO is quickly becoming one of the most respected bullion producers in the world. Its collections really took off in 2016 when it introduced the Chiwoo Cheonwang Series and the South Korean Tiger Series. The latter celebrates the legacy of the Siberian tiger’s native range, which historically included the entirety of the Korean peninsula. Though tigers no longer live in the wild on the peninsula, they remain an important part of Korean culture today. 2021 1 oz Gold South Korean Tiger Medals are available to you online from Silver.com.

Historically speaking, the great Siberian tiger subspecies of tigers lived in wide swaths of Asia and Russia. There was a time when these mighty beasts not only stalked the Korean peninsula, but could also be found up and down the coasts of the Korean peninsula to the furthest point on the southern end. Though the last wild tigers in Korea were reported in the late 1920s, the creatures remain a revered species in Korean mythology and culture.
All of these 2021 1 oz Gold South Korean Tigers are available to you with individual packaging. The medals are encapsulated and each one is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The medal and capsule come in a presentation box with a COA included.
The obverse side of 2021 Gold South Korean Tigers comes with a new depiction of the tiger. After adopting a softer side to its tiger designs in 2020, KOMSCO continues that trend with another cuddly image of the tiger for 2021. This design shows a wall of bamboo along the left side of the design field with a young tiger cub lying next to it. In the background is a structure that makes up one of the many National Treasures of Korea found in the city of Gangneung.
On the reverse face of 2021 1 oz Gold Tigers is a vision of the Korean peninsula. Not captured in geographical or political terms, this image of the peninsula shows off the Korean alphabet as the figures and shapes that form the image of the peninsula.
