The Phoenix is a mythological bird with unique regenerative powers. According to ancient folklore, the bird lived for 600 years before burning under the sun atop a funeral pyre. A new bird was then miraculously resurrected from its ashes to begin another lifecycle. In South Korea, the Phoenix represents immortality and renewal and has been an important symbol for rulers throughout the country’s history. Today, 2021 1 oz Silver South Korean Phoenix Medals are available to you online at Silver.com.

Medal Highlights:

  • Medals ship to you in flips, tubes of 25, or boxes of 250!
  • 2nd release of the South Korean Phoenix!
  • Mintage limited to 30,000 medals only!
  • Medal has latent security features.
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver in BU condition.

Individual 2021 1 oz South Korean Phoenix Medals are delivered to you inside protective plastic flips. Multiples of 25 will arrive inside a tube, while multiples of 250 come in a box of ten tubes. These medals will be in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, meaning few, if any, flaws will be visible on them.

The Phoenix is a familiar and beloved bird to many. Often, we seek to transform ourselves or find renewal in life. When attempting these goals, having a symbolic figure to guide us along our journey can be greatly beneficial. In many cultures, the Phoenix plays this vital role. This is because according to ancient myths, the Phoenix burned in the sunlight and was re-born from its own ashes. This, combined with the sheer fire-like beauty of this magical bird, has made the Phoenix a symbol of life and transformation. It continues to influence people across cultures to this day.

A Phoenix is depicted on the obverse field of 2021 Silver South Korean Phoenix Medals. This fire-like bird is shown in flight, facing to the left. Its majestic wings are outstretched, and below them, we see its talons and beautiful tail feathers. Included on this face are the words Korean Phoenix 2021. Also, you’ll note the latent security feature struck directly into the silver. As you turn the medal left and right, the Korean characters for Bonghwang will be made visible to you. This is the Korean word for Phoenix.

A motif of the classic Korean President seal is shown on the reverse of 2021 1 oz Silver Phoenix Medals. A pair of Phoenix birds are depicted looking at one another, while along the rim are the words Republic of Korea, 1 oz Fine Silver .999 Komsco.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
