Queen Victoria established the concept of the Queen’s Virtues. Those virtues are core to the concept of the monarchy and include Victory, Truth, Justice, Charity, Courage, and Constancy. All six of these figures will eventually feature on the reverse of silver for sale in the new Queen’s Virtues Series from St. Helena.
It is the duty of Queen Elizabeth II to carry these virtues forward through her record-setting reign that began in 1952 and continues well into the 21st century. Victory, the first design of the series, is the most prominent of the Queen’s Virtues. As the Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II is Head of the Armed Forces and is still the only person able to formally declare war on Britain’s enemies and also able to bring peace through the end of a conflict.
The obverse field of 2021 1 oz Silver St. Helena Queen’s Virtues Victory Coins features a right-profile bust of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the third-generation design from Raphael Maklouf that featured on British currency from 1985 to 1997. It depicts the Queen with a necklace, earrings, and the George IV State Diadem Crown upon her head.
On the reverse side of 2021 Silver St. Helena Queen’s Virtues Victory Coins is an image of Winged Victory. The figure of Victory is based on the Roman goddess Victoria, the goddess of victory. In this design, Victory features wings on her back, a palm branch symbolizing victory, triumph, and peace in her left hand, and her right hand held high.
These 2021 1 oz Silver St. Helena Queen’s Virtues Victory Coins are available to you individually or in bulk. Single coins ship inside protective flips, acrylic tubes of 20, or Master Boxes of 500 coins that have five sleeves with five tubes per sleeve.
