The 2021 release of Silver American Eagles was a special one for the United States Mint. Not only did the mint mark the 35th anniversary in style, but it did so with the release of a new design on the reverse of the coins for the first time in the history of the program. While BU and W-Proof coins were available during the first half of the year with the original reverse design, known as Type 1s, it wasn’t until the Type 2 release with the new reverse design in the second half of the year that S-Proof and Burnished Silver Eagles were issued. Now, 2021-S 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagles in perfect condition are available to you for purchase online from Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship to you inside protective plastic slabs from the NGC!

  • Only S-Proof Silver Eagle released in 2021!
  • Availability of certified perfect coins is limited!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
  • Issued a face value of $1 (USD) by the United States.
  • UCAM specimen.
  • The obverse side of the coin features Walking Liberty.
  • On the reverse face of the coin is a soaring eagle.
  • Comes with an S mint mark from the San Francisco Mint.

When the Proof Silver Eagle was first issued by the United States Mint in 1986, the San Francisco Mint was the branch mint issuing the coins. From 1986 to 1992, the San Francisco Mint issued the Proof Silver Eagles. From 1993 to 2000, the Philadelphia Mint took over production of the coins.

Since 2001, Proof Silver Eagles have been produced by the West Point Mint with W mint marks. However, starting in 2018, the San Francisco Mint began issuing Proof Silver Eagles again, with lower mintages offered alongside the W-Proof Silver Eagles. While the W-Proof Silver Eagle was issued in 2021 in Type 1 and Type 2 designs, the S-Proof Silver Eagle was not introduced until the Type 2 design rolled out in July 2021.

The obverse side of 2021-S Proof Silver American Eagles features a depiction of the full-length figure of Liberty. Known as Walking Liberty, this vision of Liberty in left-profile relief shows her figure walking toward the sun as she carries branches of oak and laurel with the American flag draped around her figure.

On the reverse face of the 2021-S 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle is the new soaring bald eagle. Designed by Emily Damstra, this visual shows the bald eagle in left-profile relief as it descends into the design element with its wings flexed and its talons clutching a large oak branch.

These 2021-S 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagles are available in perfect condition. PF70 coins showcase full, original mint luster and come with no detractions. UCAM specimens are ultra-cameo proofs with strong, frosted design elements and deeply-mirrored, clear design elements.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
