There’s no shortage of creativity or lack of inspiration when it comes to creating designs for silver coins for sale. One of the more unique standouts of 2022, so far, is the Colorized Dalgona Honeycomb Shaped Coin. Inspired by a candy wafer that features in a South Korean television series, the design has a removable centerpiece and a beautiful golden colorization added. Today, 2022 2 oz Colorized Silver Niue Dalgona Honeycomb Umbrella Shaped Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available to ship to you inside a gray tin!
  • Features two separate pieces within the Dalgona Honeycomb design!
  • Mintage limited to 456 coins only!
  • Consists of Two Troy ounces of .999 fine silver.
  • The face value of $1 is fully backed by the Niuean government.
  • On the obverse is Queen Elizabeth II.
  • The reverse side comes with an umbrella cutout image.
  • Golden colorization.

The inspiration for this unique new coin is a South Korean television series that debuted in 2021. In this new series, 456 contestants compete in a fictional challenge for a prize of 45.6 billion Won. Players are asked to complete a series of children’s games to earn the prize, but there is a dark twist on the game. Failure to complete a challenge doesn’t just mean elimination from the contest, it means death.

All of the 2022 2 oz Colorized Silver Niue Dalgona Honeycomb Umbrella Shaped Coins available here are shipped in simple, gray tins. If you purchase multiples, the coins will each come in their own tin. The coins have a removable, umbrella-shaped piece at the center that creates a distinctive look as you can have the umbrella shape removed, leaving behind the round coin with an umbrella cutout.

On the obverse of each 2022 Colorized Niue Dalgona Honeycomb Umbrella Shaped Coin is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait of the Queen was created by Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998 for use by the Royal Mint. Since 1999, it has proliferated to countless other Commonwealth Nations. It shows the Queen in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara.

The reverse side of 2022 2 oz Colorized Dalgona Honeycomb Umbrella Shaped Coins comes with the outline of an umbrella. The real appeal of this coin is in its removable design. As mentioned before, you can remove the umbrella cutout from the center, allowing you to hold both the umbrella shape and the coin with its umbrella cutout separate from one another.
