Each 2022 2 oz Gold Australian Lunar Tiger in this listing at Silver.com comes to you with an individual protective capsule. These coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come with an unlimited mintage. When Perth Mint assigns an unlimited mintage in this series, it means that the coins are struck to meet demand, but will only be available through 2022 until the point at which the next design in the series is available.

The design of the Gold Lunar Tiger is one of two in the 2022 release and features on both the gold and platinum coins in the series. Monique Reeves is the artist behind the Gold Lunar Tiger artwork and her design is in keeping with the tradition of artwork in this series. While the silver coins often feature an adult and a baby from the representative species in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the gold coins typically feature just an adult.

The obverse of 2022 Gold Australian Lunar Tigers features Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in a design from Jody Clark. Created in 2015, this effigy shows the Queen at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. This is the sixth-generation design to grace Australian coins.

On the reverse side of 2022 2 oz Gold Lunar Tigers is an image of a tiger. The world’s largest cat, the tiger is considered the king of all beasts in Chinese culture. The tiger is also a symbol of strength in Chinese culture. This face of the coins offers a micro-engraved security element visible only under magnification.
