The bazooka is a shoulder-fired missile designed during World War II by American forces to counter armored vehicles and tanks on the battlefield, as well as machine gun nests and fortified bunkers.
This design captures the soldier kneeling in the field with a few spare rounds at his feet as he aims for an enemy tank. The bazooka was commonly referred to as a “stovepipe” because the tube through which the missile or rocket was propelled reflected the image of a stovepipe.
