The Silver Soldiers Collection features 1:24 scale American soldiers in depictions based on the famed plastic Green Army Men played with by generations of Americans. The first plastic toy soldiers produced in the United States were made in 1938 by Bergin Toy & Novelty Co. The Silver Soldiers Collection from Silver Statues includes a total of 10 pieces and each one features .925 silver content.
In the design of the 5 oz Antique Finish Silver Soldiers Collection Stovepipe Sterling Statue is the image of an American soldier kneeling as he prepares to fire off his bazooka. The bazooka is a shoulder-fired missile designed during World War II by American forces to counter armored vehicles and tanks on the battlefield, as well as machine gun nests and fortified bunkers.
This design captures the soldier kneeling in the field with a few spare rounds at his feet as he aims for an enemy tank. The bazooka was commonly referred to as a “stovepipe” because the tube through which the missile or rocket was propelled reflected the image of a stovepipe.
Additionally, these silver statues have an antique polish applied by Silver Statues. The use of antique polish is typically done to give silver products the appearance of age, but it is also commonly used to give silver products heirloom quality. The Silver Soldiers Stovepipe Statue is the perfect addition to any military-themed collection, so be sure to collect the Stovepipe and all other soldiers in the Silver Soldier Collection.
