On the obverse of the Antique Silver American Western Skulls Cavalryman Rounds is the image of a Cavalryman’s skull. This skeletal figure wears a traditional cavalry cap with a brim and an insignia on the top of the hat that features two crossed swords. This is the same insignia the United States Cavalry of this era used on uniforms.
The reverse of the 5 oz Antique Silver Cavalryman Rounds bears the heraldic eagle design known as the fried eagle. While all the traditional features are included, rather than a healthy bald eagle you are presented with a featherless, dead bald eagle behind the national shield.
