Many major bullion coin programs available to investors today feature the same designs each year. While the images on coins such as the Gold American Eagle or Gold Canadian Maple Leaf are stunningly gorgeous, they do not ever change. The Gold Chinese Panda brings its own beauty to precious metals, with the added bonus of a new design element on the reverse each year. The 8 Gram Gold Chinese Panda Coin is currently available for your purchase online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Ships to you housed within a plastic package from the Chinese Mint!
  • Struck in Gram weights since 2016!
  • Consists of Eight Grams, or .257 Troy ounces, of .999 fine gold.
  • Issued a face value of ¥100 (Yuan) by the People’s Republic of China.
  • Obverse side of the coin depicts the Temple of Heaven complex.
  • Reverse face of the coin features a Giant Panda.

Like many of the world’s other gold bullion coins, the Gold Chinese Panda bears images that are representative of the nation itself. The reverse side of all Gold Panda coins depicts the unofficial symbol of the People’s Republic of China; the internationally recognizable Giant Panda species. The obverse always features the same image: that of the Temple of Heaven’s main building.

There are two primary aspects of the Gold Chinese Panda program that set it apart from its competitors. First and foremost, the coins in this series are offered with a new depiction of the Giant Panda on the reverse each year. Secondly, as of 2016 the Chinese Mint no longer uses Troy ounces, but rather Grams for its weight measurements. These 8 Gram Gold Chinese Pandas replace the former ¼ oz Gold Panda coin.

On the reverse is one of many different Gold Panda coin designs. Some of the issue years feature a single panda on the coin’s reverse, while others capture one or more playful pandas. In recent years, the bamboo plant which is central to the panda’s diet has been incorporated into the design in a different way with each release.

The obverse of the 8 Gram Gold Chinese Panda Coin includes the Temple of Heaven’s Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. The complex was constructed between 1406 and 1420. The site was originally used for Chinese heaven worship and eventually became a Taoist religious site as well.

With your purchase of an 8 Gram Gold Chinese Panda Coin today you receive one coin inside of its original Chinese Mint package. The coins are guaranteed to be sealed in the protective plastic, and Silver.com offers them from varied years of issue. We cannot guarantee which date mark you receive as coins are chosen at random from our available stock in the warehouse when your order is processed for shipment.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
