The Frank Frazetta Museum has authorized the use of Frank Frazetta’s artwork on a series of rounds. Osborne Precious Metals is working closely with Frazetta’s son to make sure that each design truly encompasses Frazetta’s work, which inspired many others including the artists who created Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda video game.
Frazetta’s art has appeared on the covers of albums, novels and other writings, as well as working as inspiration for comic books and statues. One of the most popular works, the Barbarian, represented the image of Conan the Barbarian.
The obverse of each of these copper rounds features the image of the Barabarian as he stands over a sword while a woman clutches his ankle. The background is a stylized depiction of mountains of other scenery. There is even a skull design at the top of the round.
On the reverse of each 1 oz Copper Frank Frazetta Legacy Collection The Barbarian Round, you will see a portrait of Frank Frazetta. Also on this side of the round, you will see his name, date of birth, date of death and the Frazetta Enterprises Seal of Authenticity.
All of these rounds were produced at Osborne precious metals, located in the United States. Osborne is America’s oldest private mint. This mint has produced all of the round in the Frank Frazetta Legacy Collection.
