Following the 20th anniversary celebration of the Silver American Eagle, the coin program saw predictable drop offs in production of both the bullion and proof versions of the coin. In fact, only the new burnished Silver Eagle saw its mintage level increase in 2007. Right now, the 2007-W Proof Silver American Eagle coin is available from Silver.com as a perfect specimen.

After hitting 21st century highs in 2006, the Silver Eagle retreated briefly in 2007. The bullion version of the coin dropped by more than 1.6 million coins in mintage. The 2007 Proof Silver American Eagle fell by almost 200,000, retreating below the one-million mark.
However, the new burnished Silver Eagle posted gains following its introductory year. After selling 466,000 coins in 2006, the 2007 burnished coin jumped nearly 200,000 to 621,000 coins in total. This marks the highest mintage for the burnished coin in the history of its inclusion in the Silver American Eagle series.
The 2007-W Proof Silver American Eagle was available with a $2 increase in its price, which marked just the second time the price of the coins had been raised by the United States Mint. Unlike previous years, there was no maximum mintage level set for the Proof Silver American Eagle coin.
Each 2007 Silver American Eagle in this listing has a PF70 grade from the NGC. Coins in this condition are considered perfect specimens. The coins feature full, original luster from the mint and lack any detracting flaws such as hairlines or contact marks.
An Ultra-cameo coin, known also as UCAM, is one with contrasting design set and background field finishes. The Walking Liberty and Heraldic Eagle designs have a strong, frosted finish. The background field of the coin, by comparison, is deeply-mirrored and clear.
