There are certain symbols from the American West that are etched in the minds of millions forever. Many American children grew up playing cowboys and Indians in the backyard with friends. Some probably even had a fake sheriff’s badge to wear as the lawman in the group. Today, Monarch Precious Metals captures a bygone era with its new 5 oz Silver Monarch Sheriff Badge Bar, available now on Silver.com.

A sheriff’s badge is one of those undying symbols of the law that remains from a time when the American West was known as the Wild West. With populations spread out over thousands of miles and few men to stand the line, sheriffs were the individuals responsible for protecting innocent settlers from thugs and thieves who had also moved west.
Monarch Precious Metals might have a short history, opening its doors just seven years ago, but it has a production process that is timeless and classic. All Monarch Precious Metal products are hand-poured by refiners and stamped with markings rather than precision engraved, giving each piece a unique appearance and classic feel.
The 5 oz Silver Monarch Sheriff Badge Bar is poured in the shape of a five-pointed star, with rounded edges at each of the five points. Resembling a classic badge, the bar features a ruffled finish across the reverse, as well as an inner circle that includes engravings of the word “Sheriff” and the bar’s metal content and purity.
On the obverse face of the bar you’ll find the recognizable logo for Monarch Precious Metals, a crowned formed by the three letters “MPM.” Additional inscriptions include the bar’s purity and metal content, its weight, and an individual serial number.
Monarch Precious Metals was founded in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon in 2008 as demand for precious metal products skyrocketed. All of its products are struck using a minimal fineness of .999 for both gold and silver.
